Can I install this on drywall, or do I need wall studs?
Install into wall studs, not drywall alone. It screws through drywall into studs behind it to safely support a big cat. Designed for 16-inch stud spacing; please confirm before ordering. Hardware included; you'll need a drill, stud finder & level.

Will it fit a large cat like a Maine Coon, and how far does it stick out?
Yes, at 21 inches wide it gives a Maine Coon, Ragdoll or sprawly cat real room to stretch out and settle. It does stick out about 18.5 inches from the wall, so it's a proper bed, not a ledge. Measure your spot first so you know how it will sit.

It doesn’t come with steps — how will my cat get up to it?
Even without steps, most cats just hop straight up. Pop it near a sofa, bed or windowsill, and a little catnip on day one helps them claim it. Got a kitten or older cat? Mount it lower or beside furniture they use.

Is the cushion washable, and can I replace it when it wears out?
Yes, the cushion slips off in seconds. Wash it by hand in cold water and lay it flat to dry; just don't tumble dry it, or the heat can shrink it. When you fancy a fresh one, replacement cushions are available to buy from our store.

What is the frame made of, and how much weight can it hold?
The frame is furniture-grade layered plywood. The layered construction makes it stronger than solid wood or thin MDF, so it resists bending and warping, with a low-odour finish. Screwed into studs it holds cats up to 35 lbs.
