Does it alert before they get out of bed?
Yes. The patented PreRise sensor pad is placed at hip level to detect when your loved one starts getting up, before they are fully out of bed.

Will it wake or scare them?
No. There is no loud bedside blast. The alert goes wirelessly to the pager you carry.

Why is hip placement better?
Hip placement helps detect real bed-exit movement. Shoulder placement triggers many more false alarms from simple rolling or shifting.

What is the battery life?
The pager needs 2 AA batteries, which can be replaced when necessary (depending on the usage). The batteries in the sensor pad cannot be replaced and have a life span of around 15 months after it is turned ON for the first time

What is the range of the pager device?
We measured in open spaces, and it should cover a minimum of 400 feet (122 meters). Note that indoors, the building layout and materials will affect the distance you can receive.
