How Much Rope Do You Need?
Step 1: Measure Circumference or Diameter
Wrap tape around post for circumference, or measure straight across for diameter.
Step 2: Measure the Height
Measure from top to bottom of the area to be wrapped.
Step 3: Calculate the Length
Use this formula:
Length = (Circumference × Height) ÷ Rope Diameter
If you measured diameter: Circumference = Diameter × 3.14
Example: 11" circumference, 20" height, 3/16" (0.1875") rope → (11×20)÷0.1875 ≈ 97 feet
